Omni [EP] by WHITE BIKINI
White Bikini is Matthew Shogi from Austin, Texas. A multifaceted producer, Matthew has primarily produced experimental/ambient digital music with acts such as LAY BAC and Thieves of Zozo. His involvement with shoegaze and new wave influenced bands, as well as producing for hip-hop and R&B acts can be heard throughout his synth style, which also takes melodic cues from early shibuya-kei and a deep penchant for the synth-pop of Yellow Magic Orchestra.
The debut EP, titled 'OMNI,' is a loud and futuristic take on the cross-section of pop and house music, while gently pushing the limits of convention. Spells of glitches and and aggressive cuts frame out the lush layers of digital and FM synths, creating a unique world that borderlines both abstract and blissfully melodic dance music
