"7x7" was first improvised at a jam session in August 2015 at JB Goudet's 2nd-floor apartment on Bernard Avenue in Mile End, Montreal. It was re-recorded exactly 2 years later, almost directly across the street, at Freelove Fenner's analog studio The Bottle Garden and was engineered by Peter Woodford. Exactly 2 years after that it was released online, on August 25, 2019.
