Now they're walking away with my eyes
Take fat steps to avoid ice puddles
That are scattered in my brain
Bad ears glimpse another step
And a breath
And they are blowing away in the wind again
Anyone could see your faded looks
I slip and I trip
And be-lie myself away.

Eyes don't remember his corner lingering smile
On your back steps
The brittle face of a nation baled in wire
Has now glimpsed your death.

Tears hurt themselves
Falling from their cliffs
And no, you can't rejoice
And you can't be the big bad cat that you wanted
And you can't rejoice
And you can't fall around
And feel the earth smile like a baby
And you can't rejoice.

But I may not remember to be
Your sad eyes in the morning
So your smile flies and hurts my head
For wanting to shake my sad eyes away.
