Zapatilla’s tracks are characterised by his warm yet mournful vocals and a dizzying array of instrumentation. With one foot firmly in the world of electronica, it’s his adventures into the solemn world of lo-fi indie that make him truly unique. ‘How Long’ is the first of many offerings to surface this year.
2018 saw the release of his debut EPs championed by Gilles Peterson, Tom Ravenscroft, George Fitzgerald, Kölsch and Pete Tong alongside Mixmag ‘New Artists’ and ‘Big Tunes’ features as well as live appearances at All Points East, Lost Village, The Great Escape, Test Pressing, Kendal Calling and Blue Dot amongst others.
