Drift by Zane Cook

Hey there - glad you're here!

These songs are inspired by friendships and people I love. I recorded this album as a way to show appreciation to those included on the album and to those who would listen to it. Most tracks are full takes (minimal overdubs) and were recorded "in the round" when possible. You may also notice as you listen along that there are quite a few genres going on - I think it's fun that way :) I hope you enjoy!

For the technologically curious: I recorded tracks direct to cassette tape using a mixer, rack comp, rack eq, and a Tascam Porta Two Ministudio 4-track cassette recorder. I mixed down to 2-track cassette and then mastered the album digitally in Logic. Please ask any questions about process or gear if you want - I'd love to talk about it! -Zane
