I'm just a dark spot that's left on your paper
With streaks from when you went over me with eraser

The mistake that ya made
But now you're left with me
A mark on the page

And I'm haunting your picture
Of how the world should be
Now you're left with a mixture
Of colors you can't see between
The reds and the greens
Are all fading into a gray

But your pride it will fight
Through the black and the white
Just so sure that it knows the way

The shadow is cast like a spell unto the floor
Down to that place where there's no depth anymore
And no one can tell just how tall you stand
Yeah you gave up your stature when you came to this Flatland
