Translations is the debut of Bordeaux' best kept electronica secret: Eport aka the in Spain born Rafael Bernabeu Garcia.
He is not only our first French X-ist, with his clear use of urban field recordings he is our first real 'envoiremental synthesist' aswell.
'Translations' tells us the ambient-esk soundscape story of a contemporary daydream while riding public transport.
In spite of the fact that the entire production took place in his studio the whole album feels as if it is produced on the spot, intercepting his sourroundings and blending them flawlesly into his own glitchy world.
At times he reminds us of our other electronic wizard Monade, mostly because of his 'Oldschool-GoldenEra-IDM-odor' hanging all over the place aswell. Yet with his very own no-nonsense sounddesign and personal flavours...
