Gut 1 is a 3 piece semi improvisational performance recorded live with 1 condensor and 1 dynamic mic, through a 4 track (without the tape), then into a latop running Reaper. Slowed to approximately 60% original speed. Treated with compression & reverb using free plug ins.

Cover image is a phone photo of some lamp posts behind a mound near the rapid transit line by my house. Messed around with a free app called 8bit Photo Lab and wound up with this. Wanted something spooky/liminal feeling because it's October.

The riff/lyrics for this piece were originally meant to serve as the bridge for a different song, as yet uncrecorded.
