Ember by Woozles

There's no doubt that Ember is a breakup album. I wrote all of these songs during and after a two year relationship of mine. Obviously it's a subject that's been covered millions of times, but the romantic part of me feels like each person's heartbreak is different in its own way. More than anything this album was me trying to cope and to sort out a lot of conflicting feelings. I basically locked myself in a basement for a month to make this. It's not perfect by any means. The recording and production aren't professional at all, but it's the most honest album I think I could make.

I definitely encourage you to download the album because you'll also get to download a book of poems, lyrics, and short stories that my ex girlfriend wrote during and after our relationship. Usually with a breakup album you only get to hear one side of the story, but I wanted to make sure that you have the chance to hear both sides. Essentially altogether if you dig into it you get a complete picture of the crumbling of a romantic relationship. I just hope it helps you out in your own relationships so maybe you don't make the same mistakes as us, or helps you to cope with a relationship you might be missing.

This is an album with meanings that keep evolving for me the more I play the songs. I'm not sure I knew exactly how accurate they were until now when I can look back since the dust has settled. In the end I hope for the few people that will actually take the time to dig through all of her and my material along with the music videos that you might be able to pull something relatable out. I'm still figuring things out. I still feel like I'm in love with everyone at once. I'm glad I could share both the good and terrible parts of me with you. As always I'm here for you even if you're a stranger.
