Roger and I have been working on songs since I've started releasing music under my own name. A few years ago the idea of working on an album together came up quite naturally as the songs he contributed to before hinted at a whole new path to explore. The songs of "Still Drones" show different possibilities of our own music with Roger's guitar playing certainly being the lead instrument most of the time while also creating soundscapes. I tried to concentrate on this album's atmosphere, mainly working in the background and creating soundscapes as the songs' starting grounds.

Having played on a few of Wolfgang’s releases, it was great to do an album together. This music was a real pleasure to work on. Wolfgang’s beautiful synth tracks gave me total freedom to play whatever I wanted. It’s basically how we’ve always worked. The atmosphere he created here can evoke many feelings, which is what I tried to match with the guitar. Play it loud in a dark room for best results.
