How can I trust you when I cannot trust myself at all?

I’ve grown tall
The ground beneath my feet is so much farther than I recall
If I stumble I know I’ll shatter as I tumble to the ground
Keep me safe and sound

I need someone to tell me just how I should stand, so give me a command
But how should I know who to listen to?
