The Integration by Will Marsh

“The Integration” is a debut album of original music by Will Marsh, sitarist/guitarist extraordinaire. It features compositions for cello, tenor saxophone, tabla, sitar, guitar and world percussion. Award-winning producer Ben Leinbach describes it as ““Ravi Shankar jamming with the Buena Vista Social Club”. Others describe it as raga rock, ambient solo guitar, Hindustani infused bossa nova and world-jazz.

The album is called “The Integration” based on Marsh’s approach to creating this music.
“The Integration is a culmination of everything that has influenced me musically in my twenty plus years of devotion to my craft. I’ve spent half my life studying Western based music on guitar and another half Hindustani music on sitar.

With influences that range from Frank Zappa and Ali Akbar Khan to Maurice Ravel and John Coltrane, Will Marsh reflects on what this album means for him as an artist.

“There was never an intention to say “Hey let’s mix together what I’ve learned as a guitarist and a sitarist. Rather the music just came out. It’s a part of who I am. I invite you to join me on this path of integration.”
