I decided to release this for free. My goal is to make the best music that I can, and get it into the ears of those who will enjoy it. Putting a monetary transaction in between is only a hindrance to that goal.
In return I only ask that, if you enjoy it, please share it. Retweet, post it to forums, discord, send it to a friend, spread the word.
I suggest listening as an album, in one sitting, preferably on a good system or headphones, with eyes closed. It is a constructed as journey, with ebbs and flows. Resist the temptation to skip through and preview the tracks in advance. Let it unfold before you.
I could not have created this music on my own, in the "normal" way, through a series of conscious decisions. Both the music and the artwork were created via dialogue/performance between human and computer. I believe that this is a fruitful way forward, and that there is still great potential for new sounds. Hence the title "Antero" (the opposite of "Retro").
Thank you to Mike Podolak and Bruce Gulick for the beautiful artwork.
Thank you to Alex Retsis and Mike Hodnick for their curatorial feedback.
