whisper machine by eckmuehl
Am 8. August 2022 treffen sich erstmals die drei Musiker von Whisper Machine im Building Site Studio (Hamburg). Auf der Basis von Klanggerüsten, die Gareth Mitchell mit LIVE erstellt hatte, improvisieren die Flüstermaschinisten in heiterer und freimütiger Atmosphäre, ohne je vorher geprobt oder Absprachen getroffen zu haben. Der gastfreundliche Axel Dill vom Building Site Studio nimmt die klanglichen Erkundungen auf.
In der Folge erhält jeder der beteiligten Musiker die Lizenz zur freien Bearbeitung des Materials. Kollektivgeist und Individualausdruck treffen sich zum Lob des klangpoetischen Eigensinns. Bisher liegen zwei Alben vor.
"by Eckmuehl" ist die erste Appropriation.

On 8 August 2022, the three musicians of Whisper Machine meet for the first time at the Building Site Studio (Hamburg). Based on sound frameworks that Gareth Mitchell had created with LIVE, the Whisper Machine musicians improvise in a cheerful and free-spirited atmosphere without ever having rehearsed or made arrangements beforehand. The hospitable Axel Dill of Building Site Studio records the sonic explorations.
As a result, each of the musicians involved is granted a licence to freely edit the material. Collective spirit and individual expression come together in praise of sound poetry. Two albums have been released so far.
"by Eckmuehl" is the first appropriation.
