Algul Siento by Limestone Ziggurat
More absolute music, this time a held-tone wall using predominantly Waldorf software synthesizers. A dense patch in Largo (Waldorf's earliest VST adjacent to their Blofeld synthesizer - don't tell Ian Fleming), using all twelve available voices (eight of which being wavetables) with each voice frequency modulating itself to some degree. From there, the entire output was multed twice - once through Waldorf's D-Pole for tuned ring modulation and delay, and again through another two instances of D-Pole, for inverted stereo delay and a faux BBD chorus. Aside from these, the only other processors used were two instances of Arturia's Minifilter for some low pass filtering and additional gain. The cover image was itself designed using only a screencap of Largo while the patch was being recorded.
Here's to four more years in the abyss.
