Hans Dampf by Kevin und die tätowierte Vollzeitmutter
‘Hans Dampf’ is the first EP of Switzerland’s newest Instrumental Stoner Rock duo ‘Kevin und die tätowierte Vollzeitmutter’ (translated from German: Kevin and the tattooed homestay mother), composed of Oliver Corrodi (guitar) and Janick Sidler (drums).
‘Hans Dampf’ heavily reminds of 90’s to 00’s stoner rock like 1000mods, Truckfighters, Kyuss and Fu Manchu, with mean riffs, fuzz for days and crushing drum beats pushing you beyond the brink of reality - it’s a 15 minute trip through interstellar spaces.
The entire music has been improvised on the spot and tracked live, without any overdubs, re-amps or alterations. The EP has been complemented with a beautiful artwork by talented artist Luca Bermudez.
Since the band doesn’t write or keep any songs or riffs, every show or record they do is a once-in-a-lifetime-happening, never ever to be repeated again. Max out your volume control and see you on the other side!
