Stereofox Records welcomes back Kaiya for a new (and surprising!) single.
The Australian-born, London-based singer/songwriter brings “Phase”, her next Stereofox release after the delightful r&b ballad “Blue Moon”. As opposed to the smooth, Jorja Smith-reminiscent previous tune, this new gem takes a dance turn, much like Kaytranada blends house grooves and honey vocals.
“Phase” shows another perspective on the process of falling in love, with all the butterflies in the stomach but also the lingering insecurity and skepticism.
Kaiya elaborates, “Phase” isn’t just about the excitement and caution of new romance; it’s also about self-awareness. It involves managing self-sabotage and avoiding projecting past heartbreak onto the person in front of you. It’s about seeing them for who they truly are, separate from your past experiences.
