Handbook is a household name when it comes to creating soulful and inspiring instrumental hip-hop beats. One of the legends in the genre, the British beatmaker has garnered praise from industry legends and he’s making his 2024 debut with a bang. This time, however, the legendary producer is not alone – Jake is joined by talented York-based guitarist Tim Addison.
“Tim and I have known each other for a long time but rarely got the opportunity to create music together. He came over one afternoon a few years ago with his guitar and just started recording licks and progressions. I started sampling and arranging them and the project grew from there. Ultimately, our time creating this album was a diversion from the world around us, and helped us create something really special.“, Handbook elaborates.
The 2 artists manage to bottle the essence of being comfortable with someone into a captivating and thought-provoking and sonic experience.
