(angel) 天使 by jives
Utah-based producer jives is back with “(angel) 天使,” a track that’s all about the essence of life. It’s been a while since we last heard from him since his collab with Houndtrack in 2021. This time, he’s giving us a taste of melodic bass, chill beats, and dreamy soundscapes. You’ll also catch some subtle clock-ticking-inspired percussive elements, gentle keys, and jives’ signature warm synths, all working together to create a calming effect. It’s like a little slice of heaven for your ears.
What’s more exciting is that jives is teaming up with Houndtrack again for half of the songs on Houndtrack’s upcoming album, set to drop in early 2024. So, there’s more sonic goodness on the horizon!
