Teletai by Dashmesh
"Teletai" is an ancient Greek term meaning "mysteries" or "initiatory rites" which have a strong core influence on the ancient Western philosophical tradition, from Orpheus, to Pythagoras, to Plato onward. This album is an ode to that perennial tradition, always showing up through various forms throughout history - following the "Logos", "Beauty Way", "Middle Way", and the "Shielding Tree".
Inspired by the search for Philo-sophia (love of wisdom), the music is about our recollection of the journey of the soul. Using sound as a guide, blending the visions of the old with the new, the arcane with the futuristic, it is inspired by the memory of the deep origins of Western Philosophy.
