Bad Habits by Het Nieuwe Normaal

With its driving drums, cathartic guitar lines and sweet melodies, 'Bad Habits' is an ode to nineties rock in which Rouquart uses an anecdote from his youth to tell a timeless story about powerlessness, love and guilt.
The artwork is also by Maxime and with his style, taken from cartoons from the 1920s, he alludes to the theme of looking back. “Romanticizing the past is something that I often see recurring today and I find it tempting to do it myself, although I realize that it can also be dangerous. There is a kind of naivety in that that I find very interesting to work with” - says Maxime about the subject. Nostalgia is something the band has been playing with since the beginning and you can see that in their logo, which recovers the old MTV logo, but also in the music. It owes its inspiration largely to bands from the 90s and early 2000s.
