After 5 years, Völur returns with a new album. Breathless Spirit is the fourth entry in Völur's ongoing series "die Sprachen der Vögel" (the languages of birds) which features collaborations with local and international artists.

We have joined up with Cares, Peterborough based experimental electronic musician James Beardmore.

While nominally based on the 12th century Icelandic Grettir''s Saga, the album pulls from a variety of influences: Kurdish music, free improvisation, death metal, Gustav Mahler, just to name a few.
