Die Funkenburg by Verhinderer
The album „Die Funkenburg“ deals with the saga of the same name and thus with an old ruined knight's castle, which was only inhabited by a lonely lord of the castle and a race of ghosts. The splendour of the old days was completely lost. One night, an old prince from Thuringia sought shelter in this godforsaken place because of a terrible storm. He was not deterred by the lord of the castle's warning that ghostls were prowling in the castle hall. At midnight he was taught better and when all the lights in the hall went out, the damned emerged from the walls and taught him the fear. After the prince calmed down again, a large table appeared in the middle of the castle hall with tasty food, the finest wine and expensive treasures. The ghosts invited him to eat and drink, which he accepted. Nevertheless, when fear overcame him again, he struck a cross and the spirits disappeared. Powerless, he fell asleep again. The next morning he woke up and was happy to find that the table and its treasures were still there. He bought the old walls from the lord of the castle and lived happily there until the end of his life.
