I am someone who experiences recurring dreams. In one of them, I find that gravity doesn't quite completely apply to me, and by straining and willing myself upwards, I can float higher and higher. Eventually, I find myself nearing the clouds, the landscape beneath me an indistinguishable blur of green and brown - and at precisely this moment, I begin to feel the slow reversal of my abilities, gravity beginning to wrap its tendrils around me again, moments away from hurtling me back to certain death.

Thankfully, at this point I'm jolted from sleep. However, I awake and reenter a world that seems to be in this very same sublime moment of suspension, with the same palpable sense that some looming void is now arrived, moments away from throttling us and thrusting us downward into oblivion.

There is a distinct vibe of dysfunction that seems to permeate all aspects of social and political life, a sense that we can all now clearly see that the truisms of the last 40-50 years were always total bullshit, but trapped as we are within a miasma of Neoliberal hegemony and ideology, we can't quite identify what has gone wrong - or more accurately, our denial is so ironclad that it's effectively impossible to see it. This tension, our inability to resolve the blatant contradictions inherent within the mode of production foisted upon the majority of us, by and large results in broken brains, pathetic rationalizations, and a deepening of denial and collective madness. It's not a bang, not a whimper, but cascading and escalating waves of mania and delusion, from which none of us are immune.

This suite of songs are meditations and explorations of this feeling and the ways in which it has manifested, whether on a personal or macro level. We're flailing within our echo of the dance macabre, but as the saying goes, what was first tragedy is in our age an ugly farce.

Just a simple dude trying to make sense of a brutal and unjust world.

I delve into my anxieties, loves, fears, and joys, and refract that energy into groovy vibes.
