'recovery 281224' is bleak in its most pure and exploratory form. On 'May We Roam' (um002), the duo slaved over refining a record that explored multiple facets of experimental music. Here, the focus is exclusively on improvisation and letting the sound direct the nature of the piece, shifting from minimal soundscapes to gargantuan peaks of noise - from Luc Ferrari to Glenn Branca.
The artists didn't intentionally set out to create a 77 minute piece of music - it was unknown what would happen after nearly four years of not making music under this guise, but this piece has reinvigorated bleak to continue their sonic explorations...
