Could it be like some claim,
we must hold the smile upon our face

Could it be like some say,
only truth likes words on pages
if you don’t live upon this tale,
you’ll be damned for ages

Contradictions leading us into troubled waters
when we act like we don’t react at all
intuition failing under this pressure
’cause you know we’re heading for our last fall

Should it be our trade,
for a few nickels and some spare change
we all run until we fade,
blind to see or even care
could it be our end,
the last waltz for humanity
and if we lose our pretentious defence,
could it turn this destructive gravity
