FanFair Play from Last Lap by Tromboteam!

While working with children in the Arizona school system, Nicholas A. Drake observed children struggling with the concept of “fair play.” Therefore, in FanFair Play, “there is no central leader, each member of the quartet shares bits and pieces of the opening material, slowly bringing the fragments to cohesion.” Drake writes, “The piece starts out playful for the first several passages, like children first being released for recess on the playground. Soon, however, a comment is made, tension ensues, and revenge is plotted. Even playground spats can have a sinister edge.” He seems to be asking, at what point does unfair play move from an act of ignorance to an act of intent?
