Since 2020, Portland, Oregons's Grim Father has been carving out his own unique niche in the ever populating dungeon synth scene. With an eclectic sound pallet of warble addled pads, genre shifting rhythms and 80's Dark Wave sensibilities, Grim Father crafts a unique musical realm all his own.

In his 2023 effort, Visceral, he tells the story of two beings born into a realm of flesh and sinew who are then sent to a distant world to maintain the cosmic balance. The music illustrates the various moods of this strange tale as it shifts from gentle and contemplative as heard in "The Lullaby of the Embryonic Blade" to inspirational in "...And Stand Beneath the Sky" to mysterious and eerie in "What Grows in Still Waters."
