Still Here by Dj Marcon & The Palo Santos
Dj Marcon & The Palo Santos, the new heavyweight Afro-beat music project from Bulgaria are presenting their second release on Timewarp Music. After their African and tropical jazz-funk debut release ‘Parara’ they are continuing their musical journey with “Still Here”.
While Dj Marcon & The Palo Santos are being heavily influenced from west African, soul beats, “Still Here” is a conductor for these musical waves. ‘Still Here’ is a two track release full groovy and uplifting!
The first track of the EP ‘A Journey South’ is an upbeat instrumental song with heavy Afro beats, a wicked brass section, stiff baseline followed by an afrofunk guitar and gives a melody that makes our mind to want to travel!
The second track ‘Still Here’ has a great vibe of Afrobeat tone as well but with more smoothness and mellow, cooked up with soul and funky vibes, a great groove and a fat baseline. Again the brass section is dominating and empowering!
