Timewarp Music presents the first release from Apedroid, "Banana Beats" E.P. A cosmic journey across Apedroid's funky-sphere. From the scratchy organ and funky breaks groove of "Enter the Apedroid" to the boogie funk house of "Brotherman".
"Electric feat. Nell Halford" calms down the atmosphere with amazing lyrics and sweet vocals diving into nujazz and broken beat space with a nice downtempo feeling, while "Latin Disco Lover" livens up the spirits again into the funky groove with ease and clever combination of smooth melodic lines.
The EP travels across the infectious bounce of "Wisdom of Youth" with afro-funk beats and that nice playground-yeah hook sample. Closing tune is "Release the Funk" as the title states funk should be released no matter what! The psychedelic groove train will be stopping at all stations.
