Artifacts (LIVE) by Tiger Helicide

Context: This was one of the last performances of "classic era" Tiger Helicide (basically centered around me and Casey with a lotta Jacob) It was also one of the few shows featuring guitarist "Just Pam" aka Jared Loyd (the other half of Russian Love Machine with Bart Sebastian aka Jacob Ragan). The show took place at the Glass Onion aka Artifacts (and later Cosmic Debris), which was/is owned by Carl Lackey (who would later play guitar on "In Your Veins"). In attendance were future Helicides Dick Hickey aka Andy Smith and Jay Hyde. You can hear Jay's distinctive laugh throughout this recording. Tiger Helicide members just have the best laughs! Local music producer Ed Brussa was also at the show, taking photos. He would go on to record and play on our 2nd full-length, Saturday Night Mind Control (and the new and much better Saturday Night Mind Control... With A Vengeance!). He's the MVP on "In Your Veins".... oh yeah.... and he mixed and mastered this album! Also there were members of Pace House, who would prove to be significant to TH lore: Taylor Adams would later record "Death Rays & Razor Blades" and create art for our merch. Soon after, Paul Costa would record our half of the FACE OFF! split we did with The Boneyard Mafia (our side was later released as The Zodiac Killer EP) and the "Punk Rock Fanzine" single at Mason Paris' home studio. The show was intended to be a release party for the Rock'N'Roll Commandos comp, which featured every release up to that point. All that stuff matters, but what really matters is what you hear: four friends making noise and having fun in front of a bunch of other friends having fun. -Adam
