A Mandir is a wooden Temple and in Nepal it is a structure designed to bring human beings and gods together, using symbolism to express the ideas and beliefs of Hinduism. The hand carvings in a Mandir are exquisite. The skill to carve the Mandir is being lost and so preserving the ancient ones that are left, some centuries-old is Nepal's legacy.
This album presents 3 extended looping tracks using sampling, synthesizers, and fx. with Tibetan singing bowls, Tibetan thumb cymbals, nature field recordings that set the mesmerizing sounds of Mandir.
Besides their traditional use for meditation, Tibetan singing bowls are used for deep relaxation and muscle regeneration, to relieve pain in the joints, muscles, and shoulders, to ease pain related to sciatica, the digestive system, headaches, and migraine or spine injuries, to improve circulation, release tensions or blockages, to open the energy flow, eliminate the toxins from the body. When we relax with the sounds of Tibetan bowls or the gong, our concentration improves and our emotional tensions and blockages are eased.
