It's a new record. Usually, 90 minutes is my max before I get bored or need to eat or drink, but I was so into this loop I made today, I just kept going through 2 gopro batteries, hitting new peaks of inspiration. My goal is to hit new tones, sounds, phrases, that I've never used before. I got into a trance and then the ideas just started flowing like water. It's original, but it sounds like a tribute to Floyd and Robin Trower. Very 70's. 2 chords; e minor and A. It's all you need. The drum track is very similar to John Bonham. After all these years of playing, with peaks and valleys, and even years where I could not pick up the guitar, it makes me very happy to still surprise myself. This only happens when you let go, and play in the moment, enjoy what you are playing to, and take the time to get so deep into what you are hearing and feeling, that the music flows out of you without effort. Constant improvisation is the ultimate goal for any musician.
I am bionic. I have superhuman guitar playing abilities, and my mantra is better songs, stronger grooves, faster solos. Since my arms are powered with a duracell nuclear battery, I am able to play and improvise for over two hours at a time, beating all previous records set by non bionic humans. Music for working, the bathtub, or running in slow motion.
