In the midst of black salt
Beating at stern and starboard
I lost sight
In the raging undulating mass

With a mighty crash
Our ship was smashed
Into the rocks
And when I woke
I could feel only agony
Not a living soul to behold

From the hellish blue sky
The sun casts its gaze upon me
Yet in the dark
My body is consumed by frost

I have hungered now for many a day
Do I gorge on the flesh of my own broken limbs
Drink my own blood from slashed wrists

Do I fill my belly with gravel and stone
To throw myself into the ocean and drown
Be done with this foolish struggle for survival

Imprisoned by emptiness
With the waters as my warden

End my suffering
Erase me from history
Let my flesh be rotten
My life extinguished
