purl was a pop punk supergroup which existed in 1995 and1996. it was the bands Julia (santee) and papillon (El Cajon), minus there "lead singers" they played 3 shows. once they found themselves mired inthe middle of the infamous majorlabel bidding wars of San Diego in the mid 90s,egos and pressure got to be too much, and the band broke up because creative differents. every one still has black eyes
