Dravbakken from Bonfrost by The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc
In October 2019 we performed at Osafestivalen in Voss, Norway with Voss Spelmanslag as part of a special collaboration. We learned this tune from them and performed it as part of the concert and we decided to have it in our repertoire following that. The tune is found in the Hardanger region in Norway and is noted in a collection that its a Rull after Hans Selland (1821- 1893) who came from Granvin in Hardanger. Drav refers to the waste that you get after brewing beer!
