Combining the touching simplicity of ANTIMATTER’s early works with the best genre-breaking bands like GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR have to offer, Fredrik Norrman (OCTOBER TIDE, ex-KATATONIA) and Alexander Backlund (LETTERS FROM THE COLONY) readily take up the strengths of their latest, “Pale Season” (2019), and develop them further. Alexander’s voice in combination with the soothing melodies evoke an almost dreamlike state in the heart and mind of the listener. Altogether, ‘Merkurius’ is nothing less than a unique blend of Nordic nostalgia.
