El Pastor by THEMM!
Surprise! Austin's premier five cornered slop-rock consortium THEMM! (formerly known as the Midgetmen) have reemerged, much like cicadas climbing out of the dirt, singing songs in short, loud, and awe inspiring bursts.
El Pastor, THEMM!’s new EP, is the culmination of the molting that began in earnest years ago. Officially shedding our past and reborn with Mmm. (Feb. 2024), we are wide eyed and filled with the exuberance only new found creativity can bring. El Pastor is a snapshot of THEMM! in April 2024. A vibrant polaroid, the colors and grain highlighting our friendships and love of guitars. Five friends, five nights in the vastness of West Texas, and five songs.
These songs, and the process of creating, learning, and recording them, are a celebration of the chaos in our long running friendships and we couldn’t be more proud. Relationships and friendships, like most things in life, are messy and difficult but the rewards are vast and pleasurable as the experience of El Pastor has taught us.
Please enjoy El Pastor at a loud volume. We are happy to have a chance to reintroduce ourselves to the joys of rock and roll, and we hope you’ll join us.
