THE INEVITABLE by THE GOLDEN SPIRAL

Distant sirens calling, twisting into the sound of strange pipes from an unknown culture- changing again to an electronic babble picked out of the hum of the cosmos ever changing, ever chaotic Then onto plaintive church organs, mourning loss and a new age of emptiness. Faint flourishes of bravado are extinguished quickly in the dusk as it thickens into darkness.
The sound of a piano rising from the mist of a low hum- it weaves a plaintive melody, a forlorn fragile hope of past bitter sweet joys, and and future fears...And finally piano flute and strings weave a neofolk soundtrack, a flute weaving us down rural lanes accompanied by an
ominous piano echoing a darker past.
The fragility of hope, melody in a cosmic storm, savour that mouthful of food just in case the next one is arsenic.
Hope, sadness and fear beautifully worked.

THE GOLDEN SPIRAL is the current project from Porlie Eidolon of Fleaspit and Spindly Killers.
The project uses pre-existing elements from multiple sources along with Field Recordings, Violin and Bowed Bass Guitar to build Post-Modernist, Neoclassical/Ambient pieces- generally structured as either multiple movement compositions, or as stand-alone works.
