This song was so weird to perform and I really had to work myself into it. I think I would sing all that high school stress out into it but it would always be funny. We always had a good story about school before performing the song. I was really good at some subjects and really bad at other ones. Toward the end of our live shows, this would have me just with the microphone, Katie on keys, and by the end of the song I'd be fully wrapped around the neck and body with the mic cord. Kind of symbolic about high school.
ps. nothing wrong with a 7 11. They got us through many practices with lots of slurpees. I'm just so glad I got to use the word meticulously in a song.
