Project 48

In the fall of 2014, we decided to make an album in 48 hours. We were neighbors living in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans and at our disposal were two guitars, congas, an ocarina, pen and paper, a mediocre microphone taped to a mic stand, an outdated macbook that couldn't hold a charge, and a plethora of beats supplied by Dr. Knucklehead himself. We also had food and water, a black lab named Pabst, and a few marijuana cigarrettes. We weren't sure what was going to happen, but we were confident in our ability to create together. After two days of writing, singing, freestyling, talking, listening and recording (and countless hours afterwards spent mixing) we became even more confident in our ability to collaborate, but more so in the power of music. Music in its rawest realest form provides an alternative means of communication. We hope this album will open the lines of communication with you, whoever and wherever you may be.
