I am chameleon
made of language,
made of sound
drowning in the sea of voices
heaped in electric mound
for now I am blessed that I possess transparency
but I may become the knave who is a slave to pellucidity
and shout the mantra down
so none may ever sing
and rave against the wind
that howls louder than you can scream
I found a place to hide
turns out it’s in plain sight
but my voice ain’t loud enough
to rally anyone to fight.
I am chameleon
