Tekres presents it's second conceptually driven release of 2017 as Pine Grove presents 'Larry Folger - Strangers', an album whose nomenclature is taken as an homage to his paternal heritage and the tracks within it an expression of where these reincarnated souls may lie in a modern world spinning further out of balance. 'Strangers' is presented in almost noir-like fashion, complex yet subdued techno tracks gently unwind as pebbles of rain scatter across the windshield of the taxicab and the red embers of traffic lights glisten in the distance, gently revealing more with every listen. This moving tribute to his late grandfather, great-grandfather and beyond is perhaps Pine Grove's finest work to date.
