Horizon by Taina Asili
“Horizon” is the last in The Justice Suite, a series of songs and videos made as part of Taína Asili's artist residency with UIC Social Justice Initiative Portal Project focusing on the themes on abolition, climate justice, and economic democracy. This song invites listeners to look to the horizon, past our current system of capitalism, to imagine the liberatory possibilities that exist in a world that values economic democracy.
