Enter Metem, the new album by Singaporean hip-hop linchpin Koflow. Christened after the philosophical concept of metempsychosis, which the ancient Greeks regarded as the transmigration of the soul, especially its reincarnation after death, the album is a hypervivid rendering of the corresponding evolution of hip-hop’s essence into new forms of music, new canvases and expressive worlds.
