Exkursion by Sven Rånlund
Sound installation from "Exkursion", my joint exhibition in 2020 with visual artist Antonio Sognasoldi at Konstepidemin in Göteborg. Our idea was to invite the listening viewer to an excursion to the habitats of birds and animals via painted pictures on round, floating objects and an electronic sound composition.
Field trips for the ears is something I fondly remember from childhood, when my school class went on bikes early in the morning in the spring to watch birds, exposed to wind, weather, views, sounds. I returned to those memories during this composition, which also took place mostly outdoors, touched by nature.

Playing modular synths as solo artist, in the noise orchestra GGR Betong and bands like Dahlmans Kapell (w Thomas Hulenvik), SMS (with Mike Lloyd and Sverker Pettersson), LAMM (w Henrik Olsson and Anders Dahl) and RedRån (w Johan Redin). Also guitarist in the noise punk band Plötslig Måndag.
