12X22: November by Sven Rånlund
Eleventh in a 2022 project of monthly releases. November, the month to realign, reinvent, reassign, rest. The month to remember the rest of the year, a mental survival bag to be filled with sweet memories and good stuff to protect from coming days of darkness. Or not.
This month was in a way inspired by Godfrey Reggios film Koyaanisquatsi, or rather the meaning of the Hopi indians word: "Life out of balance". For so it seems. Therefore, this piece is also very much out of balance, not only sound wise. Between opening booms and ending bells there is some kind of release, at least in the graphical score that is the spine of this November. An exploration, about to close this yearlong cycle.
