I’ve got a bone to pick with capitalism
The culture commodified and advertised your existence
The TV says your face doesn’t look quite right
Identity advertised for the fruits of your labour

Extract life as a resource from an ill population
Hold the trigger and the cure, the foundations of stability
Stare at the bottom
Endless growth and expansion collapsing
Witness the fall
Consumed by consumption we’ve reached the remnants

When life is second to growth we reach a compromise between profit and sustainability
We use language such as “make money”, when the wealthy only take
Profit and exploitation are essential in a capitalist society as one inevitably leads to the other
The foundations of our systems are based on division to allow for our labour and obedience to be rewarded with a fraction of our basic human needs
While the bourgeoisie maintain overall control
These are the remnants of the industrial revolution
We are all a part of the system
We are all accountable
