From Mathieu Duval's "My Record Collection" website:
'Sunburned Hand Of The Man continue their series of "loft tapes" which they started earlier this year with the quadruple tape release of Bootcamp: Moses. These are basically compilations of early material which wouldn't really fit on any album and they run the gammut from the weird to the extremely weird. For example, the first two tracks on this second volume range from a sped up version, chipmunk voices and all, of a wild gypsy folk song played by the camp fire to a sped up version of a bizarre traditional chinese folk song. It's INSANE!!! I don't know what's up with the high-pitched voices; maybe it's an early stylistic approach, maybe it's a fuck up. Whatever it is, it gives these tunes a truly creepy and deranged vibe that I had never heard from them before. Freaky late night shroom jams? Entranced incantations for lost souls? Lamentations for unknown anthropomorphic gods? The aural equivalent of salvia divinorum?'
