'What's this? Sunburned covering The Residents? Well no, but Inside/Outside sure resembles the eye-balled ones' odd nursery rhyme and schizophrenic aesthetics. The album becomes substantially darker from the very next track onwards. Starting with Shiv Giver we are immediately dragged down into a world of horrible experiments meant to dehumanize the listener. Most of these tracks are fucked up, drone works which could very well be the sounds of elaborate machines made to calculate the spectral ratio of asylum inmates during the 40s! Attica Rectangle might be on the noisier side of the Sunburned spectrum, yet these noises are so peculiar they don't sound like anything they've ever done before! This is what it sounds like when the band is let loose in a genetic engineering lab, surrounded by surreal machinery with organic tools and mutants in glass jars. Can't wait to see the results of this experience.'
